We’ve embraced yoga, environmental education for children and adults, we’ve fundraised for worthy causes on and off the island. We’ve danced, we’ve held art exhibitions, we’ve drummed and laughed. We’ve painted temple walls and started a green market. We’ve connected people in our community. And we keep doing it....

Join Samui Mala?
No fees, no fuss. Samui Mala is a small ad hoc group of local residents on Samui island who support a vision for a clean and green world, starting at home, on Samui. See more about our philosophy

Host an event?
We’ve been generously hosted by many venues notably Tamarind Springs, Kamalaya, Samahita Retreat, June’s Art Cafe, International School of Samui, Bandara Resort and Spa, Vikasa, Yogarden and others.
Our festivals have all been a conscious effort to ‘live the mala’ by being kind to each other, and to our planet. We ask that organizers minimize trash, the use of plastic and avoid unnecessary consumption. Let’s be local, sustainable wherever possible.
