Green Kids Day

26th September 2009

Blue Water School is the venue for a fun-filled day of events for children. This young and vibrant school takes pride in offering the very best in International Education to the local and international children living on Koh Samui. The school follows the highly regarded British Curriculum and caters for children from 2 to 18 years of age.

This Green Kids Day is organized by Samui Mala volunteers and is open to all island children. There will be inter-school football matches, karate, Thai Chi and Tae Kwando demonstrations and a yoga class for the sporty types, and loads of creative fun: installations made with recycled or natural materials, wall painting, and other fun art projects for all ages. Music, dance, games, scavenger hunts, environmental games and installations are also planned.

The Womens Business Network working with the Rotary Club of Koh Samui will organize a series of stalls with second hand goods (to raise funds to buy a new respirator for the Nathon hospital). Other shopping treats will include locally sourced goodies from food to handicrafts – plenty to keep parents occupied while their children enjoy activities.

See YouTube video of last years event:

Kindly note: Entrance is free!
Food will be provided for the children by donation from the Thai Hotel Association, and there will be simple healthy fare for parents and friends to enjoy for a small fee.

Most activities are free but some may ask for a nominal fee to cover material costs.

However, this is not a babysitting service – please take an interest in where your children are at all times and ensure your children are behaved and are not gate crashing one of the supervised activities.
