Asambai has been an inspiration to our whole island as a teacher,  as someone who was always ready to share his skills with others, especially children, and as one of our most stalwart Mala supporters. He was at our very first event in 2007, teaching the children to play on recycled drums and has played and taught at every Mala since, as well as at many other gigs and events on the island.
